Pearl Harbor Branch
the largest bank in Hawai'i finally found a new location to replace
the expiring Pearl Harbor branch lease, there was no time for conventional
construction. The architects thought the bank would have to settle
for a trailer-like building. Instead, the 40'x 62' full service
branch is a "plantation-style" building constructed of
three modules. The architects were able to design the building to
their guidelines and high standards.
materials such as Ultra Tech cherry wood flooring by Permagrain,
standing seam metal roof, custom security system, full-size
vault by Diebold, safety deposit rooms, and ATM machines were
included; quality and security standards as well as technical
and aesthetic issues required by a bank were met.
modular building was married to the modular vault, accepting all
security components for the safety deposit room, and the complex
security and telecomm data lines. The modular vault was constructed
separate from the modular building; the bank building was butted
up against the vault structure, connected and perfectly matched.
avoided need for a temporary site to service the customers.
The bank transferred accounts to the new site without disruption
in customers' ability to go to a convenient location.
